Crunchy, Homemade Granola

Oats, Pumpkin Seeds, Sunflower Seeds, Sesame Seeds, Whole, Flax Seeds, Pecans, Honey, Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, Allspice, Salt, & Vanilla Extract

Preheat oven to 275°F. Yep, that low!

In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, honey, salt, cinnamon, and allspice.

Bring this mixture to a rolling boil over low heat, stirring as needed to prevent burning.

Mix together dry ingredients.

Nuts and Seeds

Add Oats

Toss together to make sure it is mixed well.

Drizzle sugar mixture over oat mixture.

Mix up the granola really well.

It is going to be a sticky mess, especially if it starts to cool, so mix fast.

Pour onto cookie sheet - really hard to film one handed!

Spread granola out on non-stick mat or parchment.

The thinner you spread it, the less giant chunks it will have.

Bake for 20 minutes.

Remove from oven.

Spread back out on cookie sheet.

Looking good!

Bake for another  10 - 15 minutes.

Remove from oven for the second time and let cool.

Break up the cooled granola into chunks and eat!

Store cooled granola in an air-tight container.

Serve with fresh fruit and yogurt.
