The Best Scones Ever- Ham, Cheese, and Green Onion

Flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, egg, sour cream, butter, ham, cheese, and green onions.

Add baking soda, flour, salt, & baking powder to the bowl of a food processor or mixer.

Pulse a few times to disperse the ingredients.

Add the egg & sour cream - pulse to combine thoroughly.

Add in the cubed butter & pulse until the mixture is crumbly.

It will be crumbly but should stick together.

Do not overmix this as you want to keep chunks of butter.

Add the ham, cheese, & green onion.

Pulse just a few times to combine - you don't want to overmix the dough.

Looks perfect!

Turn the dough out onto a clean piece of parchment paper & press all the crumbles together to form a large circle.

Freeze dough for 10 minutes.

Preheat oven to 400°F.

The circle should be 7-8 inches across & ¾-inch to 1-inch thick.

In half, into quarters, then into eighths for a total of 8 scones.

Remove the dough from the freezer & cut it up like a pizza.

Bake at 400°F for 10 - 15 minutes, until lightly browned.

The inside should be nice and fluffy.
