Instant Pot Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients - Potatoes, butter, garlic, milk, salt, pepper, sage, thyme, onion powder, and cheese.

Peel the potatoes if desired.

Then clean up and dice the potatoes.

Move the potatoes to a bowl.

Or dump them straight into the Instant Pot.

Now add minced garlic - the finer the better.

Add butter - spread over the potatoes.

Season with sage and thyme.

And onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Add milk.

Then stir, keeping the butter evenly dispersed.

Close the Instant Pot and make sure it is sealed.

Then cook on High Pressure for 10 minutes.

Quick Release when the cook time ends.

Drain potatoes over a bowl - saving the liquid.

Return potatoes to Instant Pot.

Add a small amount of liquid if desired.

Mash the potatoes to desired consistency or use a ricer.

Add more cooking liquid if desired.

Grate in cheese - gruyere, parm, or white cheddar.

Turn on Keep Warm to melt the cheese.

Stir and serve!

These potatoes have so much flavor.
