Slow Cooker Apple Butter Recipe

Simple Ingredients

Apples, maple syrup, nutmeg, cinnamon, bourbon, salt, & ground cloves.

Add cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to crockpot.

Then add maple syrup and bourbon.

Stir that up, then add sliced apples.

I use a Kitchen Aid Mixer attachment to peel & core apples.

Toss everything together until the apples are coated in syrup.

Cover the crockpot, and cook on Low for 8-10 hours or High for 4-5 hours.

Stir as needed throughout the cooking time. It will smell so good.

When the apples are ready, they will be really soft.

Puree the apples with an immersion blender (or blender or food processor.)

It will initially look like applesauce.

Increase heat to High, and cook uncovered to allow butter to thicken.

It looks & smells so good!

Serve & enjoy! Store in the fridge once it cools.
