Equipment

Ingredients

Paleo Taco Seasoning

Instructions

  • Add all seasoning ingredients to a bowl and mix together.
1 tablespoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, ½ teaspoon dried oregano, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon paprika, ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, 1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
  • If saving for another time, store in an air tight container and shake before each use as contents will settle.

Notes

Taco Seasoning Uses

  • Ground beef, turkey, or chicken
  • As a seasoning for chicken breast
  • As a seasoning for steak

Tips

  • If you are not following a Paleo diet, you can substitute corn starch for the arrowroot powder.
  • If you are following a keto diet, you can leave out the arrowroot (the sauce won't be as thick, but it will reduce the amount of carbohydrates)

How to Store Homemade Seasoning

Store taco seasoning in an airtight container for ideally no longer than 6 months - the quality will start to deteriorate over time.
