Chick-fil-A sauce is a happy marriage of honey mustard and barbecue sauce. It is sweet, tangy, and is a perfect dipping sauce for french fries and chicken.

If you are anything like us, you always crave Chick-fil-A on a Sunday when they are closed. With this recipe, we can make homemade crispy chicken tenders and enjoy them with a tasty sauce whenever we want.

    🥘 Ingredient Notes

A picture of the ingredients in copycat Chick-fil-a sauce, labeled.
    • Barbecue Sauce - I have made this using Sweet Baby Rays Original barbecue sauce and using Homemade Barbecue Sauce.
    • Honey - I used wildflower honey as it is a more mild-tasting honey
    • Mayonnaise - I used Hellmann's original, but have also made this with Duke's and Blue Plate
    • Yellow Mustard - I used the regular old Heinz Yellow mustard
    • Lemon Juice
    • Garlic Powder

    🥣 How to Make It

Making Chick-fil-A sauce at home is so easy to do. Simply put all of your ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Let the flavors meld together for about 30 minutes, then serve!

    🍳 Serving Suggestions & Uses

Use your Chick-fil-A sauce on french fries, fried chicken tenders, chicken nuggets, fried chicken, sweet potato fries, homemade chips, and even as an aioli on burgers and sandwiches!

    🥫 Storage/Shelf Life/Reheating

Copycat Chick-fil-A sauce has the same shelf life as most homemade sauces. It needs to be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container - I like to use a wide-mouth mason jar - and it should be used within 5 - 7 days.

    ✏️ Helpful Tips

    • Make your sauce a little while before you plan on serving it - the longer it sits, the better the flavor is.
