Green beans, red bell pepper, onion, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt, grated ginger, grated garlic.

Snap the stem end off of the green beans.
These are beans from our garden that I froze, so I am using a knife.
Dice up a red onion.

Dice up a red bell pepper.

While dicing veggies, blanch green beans by boiling them for 3 - 5 minutes.
These fresh beans have a thick "skin" so I boil for a full 5 minutes.
Strain beans, then put them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
Add sesame oil to pan, then once hot, add red onions.
Cook until onions are translucent.
Add red pepper, cooking until soft.
Then add grated or minced garlic.
Add grated ginger and cook until fragrant.

Add green beans and toss everything together.
Make sure to drain the ice water first.
Add soy sauce and keep tossing the beans to ensure even cooking.
